David’s Plan to Get Quincy Back on Track:

Fair Taxation & Fiscal Responsibility

  • End developer tax giveaways – No more 40-year tax breaks for luxury projects

  • Tax large-scale housing like businesses – Commercial rates for commercial profits

  • Property tax relief for seniors – Let our elders age in place with dignity

Repealing Politician Pay Hikes

  • Mayor’s salary which jumped 79% to $285,000

    • The raise was based on fallacious logic from a report purchased by the city.

    • If not repealed, this will make the mayor’s salary higher than Boston, New York, and nearly all major city mayoral salaries.

  • City Council pay increased 47% to $43,500

  • I’ll vote to repeal these raises and tie all future ones to union employee increases—no more, no less

Religious Neutrality in Government:

  • I’m Catholic, but I believe in a government that represents everyone. Public buildings like our Public Safety HQ should remain religiously neutral.

Common-sense Government Reforms

  • Term Limits

    • Public service should be a calling, not a career

    • Term limits for Mayor, City Council, School Committee & Boards

  • Charter Review Every 10 Years

    • Quincy’s government should evolve with its people

    • I’ll introduce legislation to regularly review and reform the City Charter
